The Kennewick Lions were up 5-0 through three innings and their starter Gerald Hein was on his game. Despite allowing four runs in the sixth inning, the Lions were able to hold on to beat the Mt. Spokane Wildcats 5-4 behind Hein's complete game, 13-strikeout performance in this 3A regional title game. Tyler Detloff was 2 for 3 with a pair of stolen bases and Garrett Dixon drove in two. Kennewick will next play at 1 p.m. next Saturday as Curtis High School.

Southridge 10, Mt. Spokane 7

Mt. Spokane was knocked out of the 3A Regional tournament after losing to Southridge 10-7. The Wildcats had the lead the whole way until the bottom of the fifth when they surrendered 4 runs to tie it up. In the sixth they allowed three more to fall behind and eventually lose the game. Jake Kirchhoff of Southridge had a great day at the plate going 2 for 4 with a double, a triple and two RBI. For Mt. Spokane, Kyle Lease went 2 for 3 with a homerun.
