University of Idaho moves commencement to Aug. 1

The University of Idaho president announced in an email Wednesday the 2020 commencement ceremony will be on Aug. 1, according to the university student newspaper, The Argonaut. C. Scott Green cited a survey that supported having a “simplified” event for the graduates and their families.

Sandpoint company Kochava offers free smartphone data to nonprofits interested in mapping the spread of coronavirus

Kochava, founded in Sandpoint in 2011, is releasing some of the data it collects for digital marketing to people interested in mapping the spread of the highly contagious virus, as more and more governments issued stay-home orders. Charles Manning, founder and CEO, said the data is “aggregated and anonymized” to avoid people using the data for profit.
