In the Spokane-Coeur d’Alene area, 7,878 students are graduating from 65 schools. It’s tough work making it through school. These students persevered — and thrived. Cheers to the class of 2025!
Lewis and Clark High School senior Fatima Mahdawi, who was born and raised in Afghanistan, had a very chilly reception from Spokane when she moved here, but that was only because she arrived in December.
Some students look back on high school and remember the concerts they performed or the games they won. Lily Chrisman, a senior at STEM Academy at Spokane Valley Tech, will remember, among other things, a 7-foot-tall robot she helped build from scratch.
University High School senior Kailee Alteneder began her journey to fitness in the seventh grade, determined to protect her health. She’s turned that determination into a career goal, aiming for a career either as a personal trainer or a nutritionist.
Camryn Nichols is a bright, cheerful and optimistic person who has overcome and continues to live with a host of physical ailments that leave her in pain and exhausted most of the time. You’d never know it upon meeting her.
Despite her love for learning, Paisley Hickman did not always enjoy going to school. It was her high school experience and support system that helped her find comfort in the classroom.
