A potential nonconference meeting between a pair of preseason top-10 teams, Gonzaga and Baylor, continues to gain traction as the 2024-25 college basketball season approaches.

Gonzaga wing Steele Venters has suffered a season-ending injury for the second consecutive year. Venters will miss the upcoming season with a left Achilles tendon injury, Gonzaga confirmed Tuesday in a release.

Killian Tillie’s next stop in professional basketball apparently will be overseas. The former Gonzaga forward has signed with Unicaja Malaga in Spain, according to Eurobasket.com.

LAS VEGAS – Drew Timme likened his first season as a professional basketball player with the Wisconsin Herd, a G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, to his freshman season at Gonzaga.

Gonzaga’s return matchup against San Diego State is set for Nov. 18.
