Spokane’s FatGirl Yoga aims to be a studio for all

Client Tanya Dashiell had never tried yoga. “How could I possibly do yoga, let alone like it? Everywhere I turned, yogis are skinny, fit, they run, they eat right – that intimidated me,” she said. She took a free class at FatGirl Yoga and was hooked.

Two SFCC Piano students earn scholarships to Whitworth

Two classical piano students at Spokane Falls Community College each earned a $40,000 scholarship to the Whitworth University classical piano music program, and will start as juniors in the fall. “I’ve never had one student get $40,000, let alone two!” said Rosi Guerrero, who has served as a tenured music faculty at SFCC for the past 21 years and heads the piano program.
