Colin Tiernan, a graduate of Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, joined The Spokesman-Review in 2021, and currently works as a reporter covering Spokane county and Spokane Valley government. Colin worked the past two years at the Twin Falls (Idaho) Times-News as the business, agriculture and environmental writer. Prior to that he worked at the Douglas Budget in Wyoming as a reporter and photographer. He has also worked at a sports reporter and was a field technician at the Universidad de La Plata in Buenos Aires. He is fluent in conversational Spanish.
