Wildfire smoke that has blanketed Northeastern Washington and North Idaho, creating unhealthy breathing conditions, is expected to linger through much of the week, experts said.

Democrat Dave Wilson won 6th District primary with 42.7 percent of the votes, while Republican Jenny Graham came in second with 30.5 percent.

Temperatures in Spokane may reach a record high Thursday, with high near 100 for most of the week.
