All but one of the 50 players on the Polynesian College Football Player Of The Year watch list are playing at the FBS level, the majority from Power 5 programs. Eastern Washington nose tackle Jay-Tee Tiuli is the lone FCS talent.

In USA Today’s annual fiscal report of NCAA Division I schools published last month, EWU ranked ranked 175th out of 230 for the 2016-2017 year. The department had $14,797,340 in total revenues and $15,753,819 in operating costs. Just over 65 percent of EWU’s revenue ($9,763,372) came from allocated sources.

Ex-Olympic race walker Michelle Rohl on a roll at USATF Masters Championships in Cheney

Twenty-six years ago, Michelle Rohl was among the first women to represent the United States in race walking at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. She still holds U.S. records in the 20-, 15- and 10-kilometer race walks, and earned a silver medal at the 1995 Pan American Games.
