Ewing Reaches Milestone

Patrick Ewing scored the 18,000th point of his career Thursday as New York handed visiting Washington its 13th consecutive loss.

Ewing became the 37th player in NBA history to eclipse the scoring plateau.

New York has won seven of eight games and has moved within 3 1/2 games of the Orlando Magic in the race for the best record in the Eastern Conference.

The Bullets have not won since March 17.
