Kxly Receives Award For Support Of Children
Children’s Home Society of Washington honored KXLY with the SweetHearts for Kids award for outstanding support of children and their families. Such programs include Coats for Kids and Miss School - Miss Out, and being a media sponsor of Kids Week. Also, KXLY, under the direction of Stephen Herling, vice president and general manager, promotes radio themes that support children. The 1995 theme is “Put a Cap on Child Abuse.”
Chuck Adams of Allstate Insurance, Coeur d’Alene, has been awarded the Allstate Honor Ring for 1995 in recognition for outstanding sales and service. He was also recognized as a member of the elite Quality Agent program, honoring those who dedicate themselves to quality and extraordinary customer service.
Gary Esser, Moscow, Idaho, and Don Phillips, Harrington, Wash., participated in the 1995 Ambassador Program. The annual professional development program is designed to help leaders from top wheat-producing states effectively address concerns on wheat industry issues at the national level. After completing a three-day training program, he traveled to the annual board meeting of the National Association of Wheat Growers in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Michael Kody, Spokane, was inducted as a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons at the group’s annual meeting in Orlando, Fla. An orthopaedist is a medical doctor with extensive training in the diagnosis and non-surgical and surgical treatment of the musculoskeletal system.
Helena Vieira, sales associate with Re/Max Preferred Realtors in Coeur d’Alene, was named Top Sales Associate for Idaho based on her production during January.
Linda Garrelts, co-owner and pharmacist of Jones Pharmacy, recently attended the NARD National Independent Pharmacy Forum, held in Washington, D.C. NARD is a national organization representing independent retail pharmacies that develops association policies.
Brent Grening, of TriCo EDC of Colville, Wash., was one of 13 executive committee members of the Job Service Employers Committee honored recently at a reception in the governor’s mansion in Olympia. The committee received the Outstanding State Committee Award from the Employers National Job Service Council during its March conference in Washington, D.C.
