Nba Files Labor Suit

Less than 24 hours after contract talks with the players’ union broke down, the NBA filed a unfair labor practice complaint in New York with the National Labor Relations Board. The complaint contends that a group of players’ agents and lawyers is trying to seize control of the union and take over the contract talks with the league.

Bob Kloppenburg, who spent the past decade with Seattle, was reunited with an old friend when the Denver Nuggets named him assistant coach.

Kloppenburg, 68, spent six of his 10 years in Seattle with Bernie Bickerstaff, now Denver’s coach and general manager.
