Couple Charged With Obstructing Police

From Staff And Wire Reports

A Nampa couple was formally charged on Monday with obstructing police in their investigation of the Aug. 6 slaying of a teen-ager.

Gonzalo and Arora Flores were accused of withholding information about men suspected of the late Sunday night attack that left Augustin Hernandez dead.

“They intentionally lied to us concerning their knowledge of the suspect and withheld information that could have allowed us to identify the suspect days earlier,” Detective Chris Klein said..

The Flores live in the home that was a target of a drive-by shooting last Thursday that police believe is connected to the shooting death of Hernandez five days earlier. Hernandez’s brother and a friend are recovering from wounds suffered when two gunman burst into the Hernandez home and opened fire.

The Flores’ home is only a few blocks from there.

Police believe the suspects in the killing fled to Washington state.
