U.S. Gym Coach Named

Peter Kormann, a bronze-medal winner in the 1976 Olympics, was named the men’s gymnastics coach for the 1995 World Championships and the 1996 Olympics, USA Gymnastics announced.

The appointment is subject to review by the U.S. Olympic Committee.

Kormann, 40, is in his eighth season as coach at Ohio State. He has a 56-7 record and won Big Ten Championships in 1991 and 1992. His team was third at the NCAA Championships in 1992, 1993 and 1994.
