Lewiston Drug Boss Gets 15-Year Term
A man considered the drug kingpin for the Lewiston-Clarkston Valley has been sentenced to a minimum 15 years in prison.
Steven R. Ross, 29, on Friday was sentenced by 2nd District Judge Ronald Schilling for delivery of cocaine, money-laundering and failure to pay income tax.
He also was fined $55,000. Ross already is serving 30 months in prison on federal drug charges.
He was accused of distributing more than a pound of cocaine each month to others. By the ounce, cocaine sells for about $1,200.
Investigators followed a paper trail of expenditures including a Porsche, Corvette, new pickup, a mobile home plus tens of thousands of dollars of band equipment - without any apparent source of income.
