Davenport’s Stinson Moves To No. 2

Jennifer Stinson became the No. 2 alltime scorer in Washington high school basketball history Friday when she had 36 points in Class B, third-ranked Davenport’s 83-25 Bi-County League win over visiting Valley Christian.

Stinson has 2,589 points in her four-year career. She passed exCreston High star Tammy Tibbles, who scored 2,569 in the early 1980s. Kate Starbird is No. 1 with 2,753.

Stinson added 16 rebounds, nine steals and six blocked shots for the Gorillas (13-0, 19-1) against the Panthers (2-10, 5-13).
