Hud Chief To Visit Boise Projects
Henry Cisneros, the secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, will visit Boise on Monday to check out local low-income housing projects.
The Cabinet member is visiting Boise at the invitation of Mayor Brent Coles, providing time to meet with local leaders and tour housing projects bolstered by HUD dollars.
Cisneros will tour the new Community House homeless shelter downtown at 8:35 a.m. and then attend a 10:15 a.m. ground breaking ceremony for the Oak Park Apartments housing project at Vista Avenue near Targee. After the ceremony he will leave for the airport.
