Program Tackles Public TV
Some congressional leaders say it is time to cut public broadcasting from the federal budget.
Public Television advocates say federal money is the seed needed to attract the six private dollars now raised nationwide for each federal one.
Dialogue host Joan Cartan-Hansen and guests will discuss the question, its impact on public television and take calls from viewers on the issue. Guests are Jerold Garber, general manager of Idaho Public Television, and Ralph Smeed, Caldwell businessman and 20-year veteran newspaper columnist.
Dialogue, a call-in public affairs program, is produced by Idaho Public Television. The program will air Thursday, March 2 and Sunday, March 5.
