Routes Help Fireworks Watchers

From Staff And Wire Reports

Fourth of July revelers may want to break out a map to save some traffic time.

Coeur d’Alene’s parade starts at 11 a.m. at 15th Street, ending around 1 p.m. at Northwest Boulevard and Government Way.

Fireworks are slated to begin over the lakefront at 9:30 p.m., lasting about 30 minutes.

After the fireworks, traffic routes are as follows:

Third or Fourth Street Lots: Go east on Front Avenue and north on Seventh Street or east to Coeur d’Alene Lake Drive.

Memorial Field Parking Lot: Go north on Northwest Boulevard or north on Government Way.

Independence Point Parking Lot: Go east on Sherman, then north on Fourth or Seventh Street.

Drivers who fail to obey road closure signs may be cited.
