Chief Of Staff In Idaho For Chenoweth Resigns
Brent DeArment, chief of staff for Republican Rep. Helen Chenoweth’s Idaho offices, resigned effective last weekend, and a Chenoweth staffer says she plans another reorganization.
Khris Bershers, Chenoweth’s press secretary, said Tuesday DeArment left by mutual agreement.
“Representative Chenoweth is currently reorganizing her Boise office,” Bershers said.
“She will have further comment when reorganization is complete.”
She wouldn’t go into details why he left, and DeArment has an unlisted telephone number.
Chenoweth was elected Idaho’s 1st District congressman last November, ousting two-term Democratic incumbent Larry LaRocco, but has had a large staff turnover in her first six months.
Replacing DeArment is part of the changes Chenoweth plans in her Idaho organization, Bershers said.
“That’s part of the reorganization,” Bershers said.
“She isn’t ready to comment further. She plans to complete reorganization in the next couple of days.”
