Today, cleanup crews will don safety vests and grab trash bags to clean up the newest portion of the Centennial Trail - the Coeur d’Alene Lake Parkway.

AmeriCorps and state parks and transportation workers will join volunteers at the parking lot at the end of the parkway near the Higgins Point boat ramp at 8 a.m. They will pick up litter from there to Silver Beach in preparation for a dedication.

At 10 a.m. Thursday, the Idaho and Washington park and recreation boards will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the trail grand opening.
