Cda Man Charged With Lewd Conduct

A 37-year-old Coeur d’Alene man was charged with lewd conduct Friday after a 9-year-old girl told deputies he had molested her, according to a sheriff’s report.

Kootenai County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Larry K. Mort Thursday.

The girl told officers that she had been staying with Mort at his Miller Road home for an evening while her mother was out with her boyfriend.

When it was time for bed, Mort told her to sleep in his bed, according to the sheriff’s report. He then molested the girl, according to the report.

Mort is being held at the Kootenai County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
