Sheffield Feels ‘Blessed’
Gary Sheffield felt blessed for more than his ability to play to baseball.
The Florida Marlins slugger, who escaped serious injury when he was shot during what he and police described as a botched carjacking, was thankful for his life.
“Guns kill and I wasn’t,” the two-time National League All-Star said. “I’d say I’m more blessed than lucky.”
