Suspect Arrested In Shooting Of Police
A man sought in the May 30 shooting of two New Orleans police officers has been arrested in a Seattle suburb.
Antoine Lamont Carroll, 29, was arrested during a door-to-door search Friday in the Skyway neighborhood just south of the city limits, police said.
Carroll was arraigned Saturday morning. He was being held on $1 million bail.
Carroll is a member of the Los Angeles-based Hollywood Playboy Crips, the FBI said. He is wanted in the May 30 shooting of two policemen who were patrolling a neighborhood near a public housing project.
The officers left their car to stop a man they wanted to question about drugs, police said. The man pulled a gun and shot both.
Darrell Doucette, 25, was shot once in the torso. Errol Sidney, 29, was shot in the body and face.
