League Studies Playoff

A proposed playoff to decide the Big 12 football title is to be discussed again today by the new conference’s athletic directors.

The athletic directors have said they would meet with ABC representatives to gauge the network’s interest in acquiring the television rights to the title game.

The Big 12 will emerge from the addition of Texas, Texas A&M, Baylor and Texas Tech to the Big Eight Conference. The new league begins play next season.
