Ewing Waits Until Late To Take Down Grizzlies
NBA
Patrick Ewing atoned for a poor shooting night by hitting a tiebreaking basket with 30 seconds left as New York squeaked past Vancouver 98-93 Sunday night, the Grizzlies’ eighth straight loss.
After Ewing’s shot gave New York a 95-93 lead, Greg Anthony drove to the basket, missed a layup and was ruled out of bounds when he grabbed his own rebound. He argued the call, resulting in a technical foul.
