Nba Resumes Talks

The NBA’s locked-out referees and the league are to meet Wednesday in New York, the first negotiations since the union rejected the latest offer Nov. 20.

The bargaining session is aimed at ending the dispute that has lasted nearly two months.

The league had used two-man replacement crews since the exhibition season but switched to three-man crews Monday.

In their second trade in two days, the Milwaukee Bucks acquired veteran center Benoit Benjamin from the Vancouver Grizzlies for guard Eric Murdock and center Eric Mobley.

Forward Derrick Coleman, who has not played this season because of an irregular heartbeat, has been cleared to practice with the New Jersey Nets.

Washington Bullets forward Chris Webber, recovering from a dislocated shoulder, is expected to play in Thursday’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
