Lake City Falls To 4th; Sandpoint Ranked 5th

Defending champion Lake City tumbled from first to fourth in the A-1 girls high school basketball rankings after suffering back-to-back losses on the road at Borah and Boise.

Borah vaulted from third to first with the victory over Lake City. Sandpoint climbed to fifth.

North Star League stars

The NSL eight-man football coaches announced their all-league team Wednesday. Instead of selecting a first and second team, the coaches selected the 12 top players.

The NSL all-league team: David Reed, Mullan (running back/linebacker), Dan Fritz, Mullan (quarterback/defensive back), Al Sisk, Mullan (center/defensive end), Victor Siri, Mullan (fullback/defensive line), Adam Frank, Mullan (offense/defensive line), Jared Horton, Falls Christian (tight end/de), Buck Allen, Lakeside (rb/lb), Ken Pluff, Lakeside (qb/lb), Todd Fuchs, Lakeside (lineman), Blaine Stevens, Clark Fork (wr/db), Mike Conn, Clark Fork (rb/lineman) and Aaron Torline, Kootenai (rb/db).
