A three-man IndyCar panel began a hearing into Penske Racing’s appeal of its denied protest of Al Unser Jr.’s disqualification in the Budweiser-G.I. Joe’s 200 on June 25.

Unser easily won the race at Portland, but IndyCar determined his Penske-Mercedes had less than the required 2 inches of ground clearance.

GTE Corp. has renewed its title sponsorship of the Byron Nelson Classic golf tournament in Irving, Texas, for three more years.
