Coeur d’Alene star Jesse Hoorelbeke had three hits, including a two-run homer, and drove in four runs to help the Vikings crush Wallace 12-2 on Friday at Viking Field.

Teammate Todd Hughes had two hits, including a triple, and drove in two runs.

Nick Rook threw a complete game two-hitter, struck out four and allowed just one earned run.

Coeur d’Alene’s Amy Maurer threw a one-hitter in the Vikings’ 6-0 win against Post Falls in the first game of a doubleheader.

In CdA’s 7-4 win in the nightcap, the Vikings’ Sanudra Juhlan homered in the fifth inning.

In addition to striking out seven, Maurer pitched out of jams in the first and fourth innings.

She escaped in the first with runners at the corners with two outs. In the fourth, with two runners on base and two out, she struck out a batter to end that scoring threat.
