Mead Panel Recommends Principals

A Mead School District selection committee has recommended Mike Dunn and Donald “Mick” Miller as the new principals of the district’s two high schools.

Dunn, 39, is the current principal of Shadle Park High School. Miller, 34, is a long-time North Central High School teacher and administrator.

They were picked from a field of 62 applicants. The school board is expected to adopt the recommendations Tuesday.

Dunn was the choice to become the first principal at Mount Spokane High School, which will open in September 1997. Miller would succeed retiring Mead High School Principal Steve Hogue.
