Drink Mix Hits The Spot

Rick Bonino Food Editor

There’s nothing like lemonade on a hot summer day, and nothing like the convenience of a powdered mix. But mixes all too often leave an artificial taste on your tongue.

Not the new Lem’N Berry Sippers mix from Country Time, which was a big hit with kids and adults alike at a special multigenerational session of The Spokesman-Review’s reader food panel. The raspberry version we sampled (it also comes in strawberry and wildberry) had a fairly natural flavor and just enough sweetness to satisfy everyone - almost.
