Wiberg Dominates Course

Swedish slalom specialist Pernilla Wiberg won the women’s combined gold in the World Skiing Championships.

Wiberg, in 19th place after last week’s downhill portion of the event, was dominant on the steep, windy Neveros course.

Wiberg finished with a combined time of 3 minutes, 19.69 seconds for the three runs - one in downhill and two in slalom. Anita Wachter of Austria was second in 3:21.73 and Marianne Kjoerstad of Norway third in 3:22.35.
