Silver Valley Family Escapes Trailer Fire

From Staff And Wire Reports

A 28-year-old man was taken to Shoshone Medical Center early Tuesday after he and his two daughters escaped from their burning trailer home.

Wayne Pennington was treated for smoke inhalation and released, said Mitch Alexander, Shoshone County sheriff’s deputy.

Pennington and his two daughters were sleeping in their home on Silver Valley Road when the home caught fire about midnight.

Their dog began barking and woke them, Alexander said.

The three escaped without any serious injuries. Alexander said the blaze gutted the trailer and burned through several walls.

It appears the fire started near a space heater, Alexander said, but the case remains under investigation. , DataTimes
