Hobo Boothe of Canoga Park, Calif., overcame Earl Anthony, beating the record-setting left-hander 225-200 in the championship match of the $70,000 Seattle Senior PBA Open at Leilani Lanes.
Anthony hadn’t touched a bowling ball in five years until this week.
Boothe, a three-time champion, admitted he was nervous about facing Anthony, the PBA’s career leader with 41 titles and four more as a senior.
