Restaurant Explosion Believed Suspicious

An explosion and fire that destroyed a fast-food restaurant are considered suspicious, Fire Chief Thomas Tomberg said Wednesday.

Investigators believe no equipment inside the Taco John’s restaurant could have caused a blast like the one that tore the building off its foundation after business hours early Monday, Tomberg said. The explosion also blasted part of a wall 30 feet.

No one was inside at the time.
