Hints From Heloise
Dear Heloise: I lost my copy of the “recipe” for cleaning mirrors. It was a mixture of vinegar, water and alcohol. I can’t remember if it also contained ammonia.
I read your column every day. Please run it again. Thank you for your help. - Mrs. Elizabeth Gunning, Stevensville, Md.
We’d be most happy to reprint this cheap yet effective mirror cleaning formula. You will need:
2 ounces nonsudsing ammonia
2 ounces rubbing alcohol
a couple drops blue food coloring (optional)
12 ounces water
Just mix all together in a clean spray bottle labeled clearly. Naturally, keep it out of the reach of kids and pets.
Here’s to a shiny reflection. - Heloise
