Buchanan To Visit Spokane On Monday

From Staff And Wire Reports

Television commentator turned Republican candidate Pat Buchanan will appear in Spokane in the closing hours of the state’s presidential primary.

Buchanan will make a stop Monday evening at the downtown Spokane Red Lion for a reception and rally, supporters said.

The presidential candidate is scheduled to arrive by private plane about 4:30 p.m., and will attend a $100 per head reception in the hotel at 6:30 p.m.

Reservations are available by calling 623-4432, said local Buchanan coordinator Jim Robinson.

The 7 p.m. rally is free and open to the public, Robinson said.

Buchanan may also be appearing on evening news programs before the reception if his schedule permits, Robinson added.

Spokane will be Buchanan’s only Washington state stop on the day before voters cast ballots in the presidential primary. His sister and campaign manager, Bay Buchanan, may appear in Vancouver and Seattle. , DataTimes
