Vandals Take Four Firsts At Modesto Meet

University of Idaho sprinter Tawnda Chiwira was victorious in the 400 meters with a time of 45.89 seconds at the Modesto Invitational track and field meet on Saturday.

Junior Niels Kruller, a native of The Netherlands, won the long jump at 24 feet, 11-1/4 inches.

In other men’s events, the Vandals’ 400-meter relay team finished first in 40.83 seconds, and in the 3,000 meters, Idaho’s Frank Bruder won in 8 minutes, 50.4 seconds.
