California freshman forward Shareef Abdur-Rahim, saying he wants “to stay a kid,” made it official that he has withdrawn his name from next month’s NBA draft and will return to school.

Troy Silva’s two-run homer in the eighth inning lifted Lewis-Clark State to a 4-2 win over St. Thomas (Fla.) at the NAIA baseball championship in Sioux City, Iowa.

L-C State (52-11) meets St. Ambrose (Iowa) today for the title. St. Ambrose (42-18) must beat the Warriors twice to win the championship.
