Moorer’s Jaw Not Broken

Associated Press

Michael Moorer did not break his jaw, as he had thought, in retaining the IBF heavyweight championship Saturday night.

After stopping Francois Botha of South Africa in the 12th round, Moorer was taken to Valley Hospital complaining of dizziness and a possible broken jaw. X-rays were negative, and Moorer was released.
