Donna Lamarca Honored For Job Professionalism

Donna Lamarca, a dispatcher and evidence officer for the Idaho State Police, was recently honored with a plaque by the Region One Property and Evidence Officers (R.O.P.E.) for her professionalism and outstanding contributions to the organization.

Lamarca, who also handles evidence for surrounding organizations, has gained nationwide recognition from the International Association of Property and Evidence Officers for her dedication to her duties, including meeting announcements, arranging guest speakers, and working to consolidate and expedite paperwork among judicial organizations, all the while maintaining her duties for the ISP.

R.O.P.E. meetings provide members with training from various experts in the handling and storage of evidence, disposition of property and evidence, testifying in court and the timely return of evidence to the proper owners.

Katherine Wallenhaupt, county extension educator from Kootenai County, was chosen to receive the National Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (NEAFCS) Continued Excellence Award in Rhode Island earlier this month.

Wallenhaupt, who has already received the Distinguished Service Award and was invited to the exhibit at the National Linking Family and Community Strengths Conference this summer, has continued to be involved in professional improvement programs, leadership, and the promotion of professional development of others, and is responsible for initiating the Idaho Family Nutrition Program to the Idaho Panhandle.

The program will be included in five locations throughout Idaho this year.
