Woods Shoots 59

Compiled From Wire Services

Six days before the start of the Masters, Tiger Woods was engaged in a friendly round of golf with his Orlando, Fla., neighbor, Mark O’Meara, at Isleworth Country Club and set a course record by shooting a 13-under-par 59, improving on O’Meara’s previous record by five strokes.

“Actually it was disappointing overall,” Woods said incredulously. He was disappointed he had failed to birdie either of the par-5s on his back nine, despite reaching each green in two shots.
