Smokejumpers Train For Fires

About 125 smokejumpers will train at the Missoula Aerial Fire Depot this month and in June in preparation for the 1997 season, the Forest Service announced.

A hundred experienced jumpers will take refresher training in late April, while 25 will take refresher training in late June.

Four new recruits also will train during June.

They were chosen from 150 applicants for the jobs.
