‘X-Files’ Movie Moving Along

The Hollywood Reporter

Bringing ever closer to completion one of the most-watched projects at Tom Rothman’s 20th Century Fox division, sources said Rob Bowman is in advanced talks to direct the feature film version of the hit TV series “The X-Files.”

Although the movie has not yet been green-lighted, “X-Files” lead actors David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson are in negotiations to star in the film, which is expected to be shot this summer.

“X-Files” creator and exec producer Chris Carter is writing the screenplay and will also produce the film.
