Ewing Wants In The Dance
Patrick Ewing doesn’t want to get left out of today’s party at the Garden.
The New York Knicks’ 7-foot center felt like the world’s tallest wallflower Thursday as he watched his sharp-shooting teammates steal the show in a 109-99 win over the Charlotte Hornets in Game 1 of the playoffs.
In the game, he took six fewer shots, 11, than his season average and was disappointed in his defense.
He wants to have a big day in Game 2. So much so that he forgot about his sore knees and left ankle and decided to tough it through practice Friday. He had practiced just once in the past month.
