Slate Creek Road Partially Impassable

From Staff And Wire Reports

Flood damage has made Slate Creek Road northwest of Avery impassable to normal highway vehicles, according to the U.S. Forest Service.

A 10-mile stretch of the road, also known as Forest Service Road No. 225, was narrowed by landslides, so that only vehicles less than 50 inches wide can use it.

The closure is in effect from the Slate Creek Road junction with Dunn Peak Road to the Slate Creek Campground Road.
