Student Alleges Attack By Knife-Wielding Boy

Sheriff’s deputies are investigating a Canfield Middle School student’s complaint that another boy held a knife to his throat and tried to rob him Tuesday after school had let out.

The 11-year-old boy told deputies he was waiting for his mother to pick him up in front of school when a boy grabbed him from behind. The assailant put his hand over the boy’s mouth and told him to, “Give me all your money,” according to a sheriff’s report.

The boy’s attacker then pressed a knife against the boy’s throat and again demanded money. After rummaging through his pockets looking for money, the boy wriggled free from his attacker and ran home, the report said.

Deputies noted a red mark across the boy’s throat.
