Dear Heloise: A wonderful way to revive dried-out pencil erasers is to use an emery board or file. File off the old part of the eraser. It works like new. Madeline Crane, Sacramento, Calif.

Dear Heloise: I found a great solution for storing first-aid supplies and medicine when the medicine cabinet is too small or nonexistent.

For less than $2 I bought a set of two wire-coated spice racks and screwed them to the inside of my hall closet door. They take up no extra room and keep supplies handy yet out of the reach of little hands. - Dawn Metallo, Arvada, Colo.
