Reardan Needs Overtime To Stay Perfect

The area’s lone perfect record came a whisker away from ruination Saturday.

James Kiger totaled 22 points and 10 rebounds, and Reece Jenkin hit a big 3-pointer in overtime to guide top-ranked Reardan (19-0, 13-0) to a 61-56 Bi-County League win at Valley Christian (12-6, 6-6).

No other boys or girls team in any classification has a perfect record as postseason nears.

VC’s Derek Sandin hit an 8-foot jumper with 45 seconds left in regulation to force OT. Tim Teterud of the host Panthers had eight rebounds.
