Dear Heloise: My tip is very simple. With all of my children married but living close by, I sometimes miss them when they run by.

My solution for organizing mail, small gifts picked up on sale for the grandchildren, photos or magazine articles that I want to give them is to purchase medium-size plastic boxes and put their names on them.

I put mine in the utility room, but you can place them anywhere and let family members know where they are located.

Now you’ll never have to say, “Oh, I forgot to give you… !” Even when I’m here, they check the baskets before they go home. Thanks for all your hints. - Penny Osmer, Gurley, Ala.
